Internship: Mechanical Engineering – Computational Analysis

Your activities
We are offering an internship opportunity for Master-level students, for an expected duration of 3-4 months. The intended topics to be covered shall support new product development and continuous improvements on HITEC’ satellite antenna product line.
- Review of CFD analyses carried out in the past using commercial CFD codes to determine wind loads on antenna reflectors
- Investigation of CFD simulation capabilities of open-source codes
- Re-generation of already available reference cases and benchmarking of results
- Derivation of new wind load data sets (additional load cases, new reflector geometries)
