Since HITEC Luxembourg was set up in 1986, we have focused on providing top quality innovative high-technology solutions to meet all our clients' needs. But in order to provide services and products or solutions that are even more innovative, we need to be active in research and development. We concentrate on applied research, using the know-how and intelligence of our staff for 'close to industry' solutions. 

The engineering process at HITEC Luxembourg usually starts with a pre-engineering phase based on applied research, followed by the pre-definition of a strategic route and finally the generation of ideas. We explore options and alternatives for a solution based on our experience in the relevant field and the new requirements given to us by our clients. We use this as a basis for working out an initial solution. These initial project, product or service ideas are tested and verified and can lead to the rollout of products and services or the launch of new projects. The next step is to test our prototype solution for feasibility and, depending on the type of product or service, manufacturability. We then develop prototypes and series that can be tested under real conditions. Our solutions are often manufactured and developed in house. That is one reason why we can guarantee innovative high-technology solutions. 

Conceptual engineering is therefore an important step for our technical designers in evaluating feasibility or manufacturability. We look at these aspects as early as possible in our product design process so that we can target the engineering process to avoid costly failures and meet the standards we have set ourselves.
