February 1st, 1986 was the beginning of a Luxembourg success story, when Pierre Hirtt, Marco Trauffler and Nicolas Comes founded HITEC Luxembourg. Since then, our company has continuously developed to become an integral part of the high technology sector in Luxembourg, and we at HITEC Luxembourg daresay that we are proud of.

 

2016 - THREE DECADES OF INNOVATION

  • HITEC Luxembourg is selected to provide two 9m X-band antenna systems for the LuxGovSat program
  • The maintenance contract for the Luxembourg highway network infrastructure is extended and awarded once again to the GMC consortium in which the company participates since many years
  • Catalogue for Rubber Testing Instruments products and service offering is launched: shop.hitec.lu
  • The company celebrates its 30th year of business operation
  • Luxembourg initiated project DG-TRAC (tracking and tracing of dangerous goods in the medical sector) presented on the occasion of the ESA council in Paris, France

 

2015 - ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES &
SHAREHOLDER OF INNOVATIVE GEO-INFORMATION VENTURE

  • HITEC Luxembourg appoints Philippe OSCH as Chief Technology Officer.
  • The company is a founding partner of EarthLab Luxembourg, an international industrial and environmental risk monitoring centre. The company is contributing with its know-how in the field of secure communication networks as well as with its competences in the areas of data management and ICT services.
  • The communication terminal product family is extended with NoSaCo® Rack,  a multi-purpose, flexible communication system for long-term installations.

2014 - INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION 

  • emergency.lu contract is extended to offer the humanitarian world the innovative response solution for a duration of another six year
  • Pierre Hirtt, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of HITEC Luxembourg S.A., has received the ASTM International Award of Merit from Committee D24 on Carbon Black and the honorary title of “Fellow”
  • HITEC Luxembourg has been named as the National Public Champion for Luxembourg in the 2013/2014 European Business Awards
  • Harold Linke, Manager research & technology projects of HITEC Luxembourg, takes over presidency of the Public Safety Communication Europe (psce)
  • HITEC Luxembourg is te-certified for its corporate social responsibility 

2013 - HIGH-TECHNOLOGY MADE IN LUXEMBOURG

  • HITEC Luxembourg S.A. products and service are labelled "Made in Luxembourg" and "Luxembourg"
  • HITEC Luxembourg is invited to participate in the Foire de Printemps in Luxembourg at the booth of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce
  • The company's product lines for the satellite ground segment are presented at the 50th International Paris Air Show
  • HITEC Luxembourg nominated as a national champion in the European Business Awards competition
  • Minister Martine Hansen visits EDRS antenna integration site in Bissen, LU
  • International crisis deployment of emergency.lu provides vital communication capabilities to the Philippines

2012 - SHAPING INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS & SOLUTIONS

  • HITEC Luxembourg S.A. receives the special prize for SME of the Prix de l'innovation de la Fedil - Business Federation Luxembourg – Promotion 2012 for its solution Public Safety Suite – NoSaco® & DISP®
  • HITEC Luxembourg selected for provisioning four antenna systems as part of the satellite ground stations to monitor and control the EDRS satellite network
  • Yves ELSEN, Managing Partner & CEO honoured by Deutsche Bank Luxembourg Foundation

  • AlpSAR project for Alpine Search & Rescue kicked-off
  • 3.6m antenna IOT system delivered for Galileo IOV phase
  • Site acceptance tests for 13m FM antenna systems used in Galileo
  • Contract for installation and maintenance of electronic ID card and passport machines
  • Decommissioning and special relocation via road of a six meter antenna between two sites in Luxembourg

  • ISO 9001:2000 re-certification for engineering, analyses, consulting, manufacturing and sales of systems in mechanics, electronics, physical measuring techniques, microprocessors and data processing
  • Award of project PIOT (Plan d'Interventions d'Urgence et d'Organisation des Travaux) by "Administration des Ponts & Chaussées" of Luxembourg

2006 - WORLDWIDE ANTENNA PROJECTS & SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE

  • Selection to build two full-motion GALILEO TT&C antenna systems for the IOV phase of Galileo with SES Astra TechCom
  • Limited motion antenna project awarded for Vietnam's first satellite system
  • U-Trust Consortium to build up, host and operate the PKI infrastructure of LuxTrust in the Grand-Duchy

HITEC Luxembourg's DADS data for measurements on carbon black is introduced as "Procedure B" in the ASTM D2414 standard

1999 - STARTING SATELLITE GROUND SEGMENT ACTIVITIES
